Turkman tomb – longest Nabataean inscription the Rock city of Petra
A Turkman tomb is located off the typical tourist routes at the Back Exit Road of the archaeological site. On the map of the Petra Development and Tourism Authority, the Turkman tomb is marked as Turkumaniyya Tomb. A visual feature is the façade, which has been broken off from below but is very well preserved at the top. The front bears one of the rare, well-preserved Nabataean Inscriptions of Petra. In fact, it is the longest Nabataean inscription found in Petra to date. Among other things, it states that the god Dushara and all gods watch over the ordinances.
