In winter, the traditional original continues to be built next to Hotel 365, on the banks of the Torne River. From December to April, it delights numerous visitors before melting again in the spring. The meltwater returns to the Torne River, from which the ice sheets were previously extracted. An exciting cycle, but limited to a specific season. The Ice Hotel 365 is therefore a lovely addition and invites you to enjoy a winter retreat year-round.

I look in amazement at the oversized, wonderfully crafted clown sculptures. Fuzzy snowballs hang from the ceiling and give the room a special flair. In the next suite, an oversized chameleon watches over the night. I take a moment to absorb the adventurous mixture of jungle atmosphere, ice age expedition and underwater feeling. My breath forms little clouds in the cold when I enter the next room: shimmering struts of frozen water artfully cross each other and create a cozy retreat in the freezing cold. Two icy steps lead up a plateau on which a double bed awaits the next dreamers.

The ICEHOTEL 365 consists of 9 "Art Suits", 9 "Deluxe Suites", the entrance area with ice bar and an exhibition room about the history of the hotel. With the exception of the heated pool, temperatures of around -6 ° C prevail in the entire hotel complex. The "Art Suits 365" use a shared bathroom. Each “Deluxe Suite 365” has a private bathroom and, depending on your budget, even a private sauna and bathtub are included.
Each hotel room in the ICEHOTEL 365 is an estimated 5 x 4 meters. The floor, walls and ceiling of the room are made of ice. There are no windows. Some artists use colored light effects for a special feeling of space. Each room is unique and designed by an artist. Everything is formed from snow and ice. A comfortable double bed with a mattress and pillow is the only exception. The icy bed frame can be very simple or very elaborate, depending on the design. Individual rooms also offer seating made of ice. Please consider that it is unfortunately not possible to choose the design of the booked room. ICEHOTEL 365 provides every overnight guest with a well-warming sleeping bag for a pleasant night.

Are all rooms in the Ice hotel equally beautiful?
Playful beauty, exotic creations and wonderful ice sculptures alternate. But even bizarre ideas find implementation: a hotel room looked like a laboratory and at the center was an ice brain. A cozy sleeping atmosphere should not arise here, but some would describe this as a special experience. Another room seemed unfinished and banal to us, because apart from a small blue house it contained nothing. Any minimalist, on the other hand, would be enthusiastic about how this design impresses with its simplicity. As is well known, beauty is relative and art is a matter of taste. Each room is individually designed and unique.
What should I wear when I stay overnight in the ice hotel?
For a visit to the ice hotel you should wrap up warmly, like you would for a winter walk. Sweaters, winter jackets, scarves, hats and gloves are compulsory. For an overnight stay, it is usually sufficient to slip into the sleeping bag with long underwear and a fleece sweater. Hat, scarf and socks are an advantage.
What happens if I get cold in the ice hotel?
If necessary, you can warm up in the warm foyer of the reception. For overnight guests, the communal sauna in the neighboring building promises an extra portion of warmth. Depending on your budget, there is also a private sauna or bathtub with direct access to the Ice Suite. The sleeping bags are suitable for expeditions and keep you warm.
Where can I leave my luggage?
As the rooms only consist of ice and snow, no luggage may be placed in the room. In the “Deluxe Suites” it is deposited in the heated bathroom. Guests of the "Art Suites" hand them in at the reception. There are lockers for small items in the heated shared bathroom.
When can I go to my room?
Your icy bedroom is yours alone after the Ice Hotel's official opening hours. All rooms can be visited during the day. However, part of the room, including the bed, is locked off and remains untouched. If you reserve a "Deluxe Suite" you can check in earlier and stay in your private bathroom until the last day guests leave the Ice Hotel.
